A pitch deck can survive contact with a spreadsheet. It rarely survives contact with the physics of a commercial-scale plant. Our diligence is built to find the gap between the two — before it becomes a write-down.

The Investment Thesis

Does the opportunity deserve a deeper look? A high-level stress test of the techno-economic model, evaluating value-chain economics, ROI drivers, critical assumptions, and counterfactual scenarios. This Red Light / Green Light assessment determines if diligence should continue.

Fatal Flaw Investigation

What could fundamentally break the thesis? We investigate violations of physical limits, unsupported data, equipment and integration risks, technology gaps, and weaknesses in the commercial framework. Findings are assessed against the technology maturity and project stage to distinguish theoretical risks from credible investment threats.

Pathway Validation

Does the technology perform as expected? We test the core technical pathway against available evidence, operating history, feedstock variability, mass and energy balances, process conditions, and technology maturity to determine whether demonstrated performance supports the proposed commercial application.

Asset Delivery

Can we actually build and operate the asset at scale? We evaluate the engineering basis, equipment selection, technology interfaces, constructability, commissioning requirements, operational complexity, and execution strategy to determine whether the proposed asset can transition from design to reliable commercial operation.

Investment Readiness

Should the project proceed toward capital deployment? We integrate technical, operational, commercial, and execution findings into a clear assessment of project readiness, remaining risks, required mitigations, and capital implications to answer 'Should we build It?'

A model tells you what the plant should do. EDYMAC looks beyond the model and its assumptions to understand what the plant will actually face such as changing feedstocks, first-of-a-kind equipment integration, transient operation, maintenance realities, and the variability of continuous production. Those forces follow their own rules—and they don't listen to the assumptions in the model.

Alignment Assessment

Establish the question before investigating the answer. A focused, high-level assessment of the technology pathway, project maturity, and next major milestone to determine the scope of diligence needed to make the investment decision.

Give the investment committee an answer it can act on. A documented, committee-ready risk profile providing an unvarnished assessment of project readiness, with critical gaps identified, quantified, and tied to their potential impact on capital deployment.
