A confidential U.S.-based project developer engaged EDYMAC to evaluate licensed technology for deployment in a waste-to-ethanol process at a Southern U.S. site.
EDYMAC evaluated the entire technology stack and its deployment history, and developed a location-specific view of the expected project CAPEX.
The review identified three fundamental challenges: limited integration between the licensed technology and adjacent process systems, insufficient return on the required capital investment, and a gap between the project's execution demands and the developer's internal resources.
EDYMAC recommended that the developer not pursue the proposed project scope, preserving both capital and management bandwidth for a more viable pathway.
