New Era Energy engaged EDYMAC as a strategic and technical advisor for development of a Synthetic Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Renewable Diesel project at a confidential location in Australia.
During the concept stage, EDYMAC advised on the selection of Australia-advantaged agricultural feedstocks, marginal land availability, conversion technologies, regional supply chains, and long-term growth potential. The project will have meaningful participation by Indigenous communities as key stakeholders in the project's regional development strategy.
Reviewing multiple feedstocks and conversion pathways the team prioritized a Country-to-Tank development model aligned with Australia's regional resources and market opportunities. New Era Energy is now working with technology test beds to demonstrate the selected approach at small scale while developing partnerships across the emerging value chain.
The engagement established a structured path from regional resource opportunity to technology validation and, ultimately, commercial-scale development.

Start with the resource. Build the pathway from there.
At the earliest stage of a pioneering project, the most important decision is often not which technology to buy—but which combination of feedstock, technology, location, and market creates the strongest path to scale.
Regional Feedstock Evaluation
Evaluate region-specific agricultural resources and their characteristics to identify viable feedstock-to-product opportunities.
Land & Supply Strategy
Assess marginal land and regional sourcing opportunities to understand how feedstock supply could scale without competing directly with higher-value land uses.
Conversion Pathway Screening
Screen conversion technologies against feedstock characteristics, product requirements, technical maturity, operating requirements, and potential for scale.
Pathway Prioritization
Bring feedstock, technology, location, community, and market considerations together to establish a prioritized development pathway for SAF and renewable diesel.
Hands-On Through Every Step
Executive-level strategic and technical advisory connecting regional resources with conversion technology, development strategy, and a credible path to scale.
Australian Feedstock Assessment
Evaluated a broad range of Australian-specific regional feedstocks to identify promising feedstock-to-product pathways.
Marginal Land Strategy
Explored opportunities to utilize marginal land as part of a scalable feedstock strategy while considering regional development and long-term sustainability.
Conversion Technology Screening
Compared potential conversion pathways based on feedstock compatibility, technology maturity, process requirements, product potential, and scalability.
Country-to-Tank Pathway Selection
Helped prioritize a development pathway that connects agricultural production, conversion technology, regional sourcing, and downstream SAF and renewable diesel markets.
Don't start with the technology, start with what the region can sustainably produce.
Strategic Impact & Outcomes
EDYMAC helped New Era Energy move from a broad concept toward a prioritized Country-to-Tank strategy grounded in regional resources, technology fit, and scalability.
Regional Resources Mapped
Evaluated Australian agricultural feedstocks to identify promising resource-to-product pathways.
Land Strategy Defined
Evaluated marginal land opportunities as a key component of a scalable regional feedstock strategy.
Technology Pathways Screened
Compared conversion options against feedstock characteristics, technical maturity, operating requirements, and product objectives.
Country-to-Tank Pathway Prioritized
Established a prioritized development pathway connecting regional feedstocks, conversion technology, and SAF and renewable diesel production.
The best projects start with what the region has—not what the technology wants. Start with the resource. Design the technology around it. Build the business from there.
